Houston Alarm Permits
Regardless of where you live in the Houston area, most areas require a permit for both residential and commercial security alarms.
This provides the responding authority in charge to know your address, name, phone number and other information in order to respond to an alarm activation and dispatch from your monitoring service.
Many of the the responders do not respond if there is no permit. This is the case for Commercial alarms. However, if you call 911 because you self monitor your home alarm with text or motion video activation, they will respond in most cases if you know for sure the home is being broken into.
Alarm Permits
Most municipalities require not only a permit but an associated annual fee. It is also left up to the permit hold to renew the permit annually.
